Internships

Internship opportunities at Porchlight Music Theatre are designed to provide an enriching, career-broadening experience for qualified college and graduate students. The level of responsibility and the ongoing workload of an ever-growing artistic institution require that interns be highly motivated, energetic and self-reliant. Please read each individual internship posting to submit your application for consideration. A personal interview is required as part of the final selection process.

Porchlight Music Theatre is currently seeking to hire the following internship positions

Porchlight offers a variety of internships.

The following internships are available seasonally:
Scheduling is usually 2-3 days a week.

Winter/Spring Internship: Approximately January 1 - April 30
Application deadline: November 1

Summer Internship: Approximately May 1 - August 31
Application deadline: March 1

Fall Internship: Approximately September 1 - December 31
Application deadline: July 1

* Development/Fund Raising Internship
* Marketing/Administrative Internship
* Artistic Production/Administrative Internship

The following internships are available per-production:
Scheduling is flexible, though production internships have specific times and are 2-3 months in duration.

How to Apply

Please send a 500-word personal statement summarizing your career goals, explaining why you want to work at Porchlight Music Theatre.

Include a resume of your experience and two letters of recommendation, which speak to your experience and ability to excel in a demanding and highly collaborative work environment.

Porchlight Music Theatre does not offer internships in directing or set design. No housing is provided; qualified applicants are eligible for college credit.
