Opening Doors: Sondheim in Performance is a masterclass for experienced teen artists, ages 13-19, that will unlock the secrets of navigating and interpreting Sondheim in performance. Each student will receive one-on-one coaching on a Sondheim song of their choosing with Jeff Award-winning director Christopher Pazdernik, Associate Director of Porchlight’s Merrily We Roll Along. Students will leave performance-ready on their song, with the tools and confidence to explore further Sondheim material on their own. Limited space available!
Students should prepare one entire Sondheim song and arrive memorized with sheet music. Please also submit 2-4 song choices by February 19th, in order of preference, to avoid duplicates. You may email Jillian@
Class will be held in the downstairs lounge at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts (1016 N Dearborn St, 60610)
