As the leader in musical theatre in Chicago, Porchlight Music Theatre has staged 52 critically-acclaimed productions—including three world premieres and nine Chicago premieres—earning growing passionate audiences.  Porchlight is known for its bold, edgy and intimate musicals: this year, more than 10,000 people came through the Porchlight doors and witnessed the drama, the song and the dance “up close” from Chicago’s finest music theatre talent.

Porchlight Revisits…1964 - $1,000. $3,000, $5,000

This season, Porchlight Music theatre has created a brand new program, Porchlight Revisits… to preserve and present the rarest of the great works of musical theatre from a single year that may have gotten “lost” behind the big name shows that appeared on Broadway that season.  Utilizing Chicago’s top talent, we will present three rare musicals in one-night-only performances, each with an educational multimedia presentation. The inaugural year in focus is 1964 and includes a special evening for audiences to discover and celebrate each of the following musical treasures: Bells Are Ringing, City of Angels and Mack & Mabel.   

Sponsors of Porchlight Revisits…1964 receive prominent recognition and exposure to both our Porchlight Revisits audiences and our main stage audiences.

Porchlight’s signature annual ICONS Gala is a spectacular event with dazzling musical theatre performances celebrating the life and work of an American musical icon. This spring gala includes the presentation of the prestigious Guy Adkins Award for excellence in the advancement of music theatre in Chicago, a sumptuous brunch and exciting auctions. The annual summer event, Chicago Sings!, is the must-see concert of the season and takes place in the summer.  Each of these amazing events attracts 200 friends of Porchlight.  Sponsorship opportunities are available with varying significant recognitions for our partners through logo on invitations, press release mention, posters and program, e-mail promotions, etc.

About Porchlight’s Audience

Approximately 10,000 theatre patrons, theatre artists and the general public come through Porchlight’s doors for productions, programs and special events each year, and the numbers keep growing!  Our audience is from all areas of Chicago and represents Chicago’s diverse population. Additionally, we consistently attract out-of-towners who specifically visit Chicago to take in

Porchlight shows. Our house file mailing list includes 7,000 individuals who

receive ten promotions pieces: brochures, production postcards, invitations to the ICONS Gala, invitations to opening nights of each Porchlight Productions, etc. Our e-mail list includes 9,800 individuals who receive bi-weekly e-blasts and newsletters, production promotions, event invitations and special announcements.  Porchlights social media fan base includes 1,750 Facebook followers and 500 Twitter followers.
