Porchlight is excited to partner with HERSHEY FELDER PRESENTS – LIVE FROM FLORENCE for the latest live stream performance, Hershey Felder as famed composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in HERSHEY FELDER, TCHAIKOVSKY. As a special holiday treat, the live performance will take place on Sunday, December 20 at 7pm CST.

Hershey Felder will present his newly updated one-man show streamed live/filmed on location where Tchaikovsky actually lived and worked in Florence. Based on Felder’s original hit Our Great Tchaikovsky, this musical masterpiece features an extended focus on The Nutcracker ballet as well as delving into Tchaikovsky life in Italy and his array of works from ballets Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty to the 1812 Overture, and brilliant symphonic works.

Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is Russia’s most famous composer and one of the greatest composers of all time. From his beautiful lilting melodies for the ballets Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker; to the eternally popular and celebratory 1812 Overture and Marche Slav; to the question of his final enigma, the Symphony no. 6, Pathétique.

This Live from Florence production of Hershey Felder, Tchaikovsky is directed by Stefano Decarli and Felder, and based on the stage play directed by Trevor Hay.  The production team includes Felder (production design); DeCarli Live Film Company (film production and live editing); Erik Carstensen (live broadcast and sound design production); Meghan Maiya (historical and biographical research); Isabelle Gerbe (costumes and hair) and Pierre Gerbe (scenic construction).

The broadcast will also be available for latecomers to purchase through the week of “on demand” access. Viewing access for all ends Sunday, Dec. 27 at 11:59pm CST.

  • How will I receive the LIVE STREAM Link?  Your LIVE STREAM LINK will be sent to you on Friday, November 20, via the email you used to register for this event. If you do not see the email on November 20, check your spam folder.
  • What if I experience technical difficulties or am unable to view the LIVE STREAM? We are not responsible for technical difficulties on your home devices or any issues with your local broadband or wifi. However, there is online support available to help you as best we can. Also, if you do have technical difficulties, please remember that your purchase includes the live stream AND an additional week of “on demand” viewing access to a video recording of the live stream (available one-hour after the live broadcast ends).
